My Nguyễn (M.A in English Literatures and Cultures)

During my 4 years of work at the British Council and the U.S Embassy, I was constantly impressed by the efforts of my ‘Western’ colleagues to overcome cultural barriers. Some of them even tried to eat dog meat (though vomiting later) to really put themselves in Asian people’s shoes. This impression motivates me to be more involved in programs that foster international cooperation like NMUN. Fortunately involvement in a virtual lobbying and decision-making process is now not in my ‘wish’ but ‘to-do’ list.
